RCI Theming

Film and Television

Over the years RCI Theming has had the pleasure of working with a wide variety of different studios on some well known productions. These projects include set design, prop design, 3d printing and much more!

Jurassic Park (1993)

The Tyrannosaurus Rex which was featured in the 1993 Universal Pictures blockbuster, Jurassic Park, was a specimen which we cast and provided for the filming of the movie.

Pictured here, the Tyrannosaurus Rex (right) was a large prop that was featured multiple times in the Visitor’s Center in Jurassic Park.

The Handmaid’s Tale (2021)

One of the Exploration Exhibits specimens can be seen in the acclaimed Hulu series The Handmaid’s Tale.

The market with the dinosaurs was filmed at the Liberty Grand Entertainment Complex on the Exhibition Grounds in Toronto, ON in the interior dome between the Centennial and Renaissance rooms.

The Tyrannosaurus Rex featured, is the specimen ‘Jane’ from the Carnivorous Dinosaurs Exploration Exhibit. The specimen was rented to the studio as a prop for filming and can be seen prominently displayed in the screenshot from The Handmaid’s Tale.

SHAZAM (2019)

In 2017, we were subcontracted by Jellystone Films Inc. to design and fabricate the "The 7 Deadly Sins" gargoyles for the 2019 DC Comics film  SHAZAM!

The 7 Deadly Sins gargoyles were constructed

in-house here by our incredible team of artist and theming technicians.

The Bachelor (2023) (By Coincidence!)

In 2023, the Tyrannosaurus Rex and Triceratops that we cast and mounted for the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County in July of 1996 were the surprise guests of ABC's The Bachelor during Kaity and Zach's dinner during their stay at the museum!  special thanks to The Museum of Los Angeles County for this special feature and dining arrangement!
